Established in 1951, Steve Tomkinson took over from his father 30 years ago. Originally plumbing and heating, the business rapidly grew to provide a full heating service including repairs. With the introduction of multi-fuel stoves 30 years ago, the business turned into a one-stop shop for heating services for home and industrial purposes. The company moved into its present property in 1986 that had originally been owned by the co-op food stores. We still have some of the original glass signs!

Due to our strong enigineering background we have always pushed to be at the leading edge of heating technology. Over the past 10 years, the push for greener heating systems has become a very important part of our business. This has lead us to be one of the North-west specialists in Biomass and solar heating systems.

With 23 current employees including two sons, we are continually expanding our expertise in the heating industry.

Due to our long standing expertise in stove installation, we have DIRECT accounts to all the high quality stove brands, leaving you with the piece of mind that you will have many years of trouble free heat and also the spares for the product.
