Solar
With solar panels, many people believe that they can only collect hot water in hot, sunny climates. With the technology behind solar panels becoming more and more precise, daylight and not just direct sunlight can heat your domestic hot water. During the course of a year you are likely to get 50-70% of your hot water provided by solar energy.
The systems are designed to work with your current central heating system but will require a new hot water cylinder with a twin-coil. If you need a new boiler and your thinking of using solar panels, we can install a system that is prepared and ready for solar panels making the eventual switch to solar simple and quick.

Wood Boilers
As we are all aware, fossil fuel prices are unpredictable. With countries demanding more and more power, the use of fossil fuels is only going to increase along with the price. With the environmental impact of increased CO2 it is becoming more and more important to reduce the amount of fossil fuels we use by using alternative fuel.
Wood is carbon neutral as it only releases the same amount of CO2 back into the air that the tree took in during its lifetime. With more wood been grown each year than we consume, it is becoming a strong renewable resource.
Wood boilers work by using large water cylinder usually known as accumulators. The boilers are set to run and burn a full chamber of wood that may burn for up for 5 hours, heating the large cylinders. The cylinders are wrapped in a highly insulated liner meaning they only lose 1 degree every 24 hours. With this thermal efficiency, the boiler may only be required to run once a week in the summer.
We provide full surveys and quotes for whatever system you required. If you would like a survey please contact us for more information. Please see our heating page for more information on these boiler systems

Pellet Boilers
Pellets are made from 100% natural wood, shavings and sawdust are collected and compressed into small cylinders. The pellet is held together with lignin that is found naturally in wood. No glues are added to the wood. The pellets provide a very clean fuel with a very low ash content and high calorific value.
Pellets are usually fed into the boilers automatically with the aid of a hopper. This creates a much more automated system with great flexibility and with high end technology incorporated some even respond to SMS text messages to turn on or shut down!
Pellets are now becoming much more available to the market. Many saw mils are now compressing the sawdust waste and companies are building very good stock levels. We are able to supply pellets by order in different weights. Please contact us for more information.

Link Systems
Link systems are a low cost approach to solid fuel heating. Using your existing boiler system, we can 'link' into the current system (depending on the current system). We provide ready built units allowing you to link a solid fuel stove with back boiler into the system with all the relevant safety involved.
